About Ego Ensemble
What is music except sound(s)? What does music do, except for playing a small part in the overwhelming universe of sound? What makes the difference and exactly where is that difference visible for the ear?

The fundamental concept of Ego Ensemble is to create art on the borders of sound and music in a pluralistic, somehow democratic way: sounds, notes, objects, instruments, words, vocals, culture, nature etc. are all treated equally as both musically expressive subjects and neutral auditive objects, and therefore everything is recorded individually and to a large extent without any connection to each other. Rythmic and/or harmonic substance among the various sounds/instruments is possible after consolidation, but in any case coincidental. Talking about a certain genre is obviously meaningless, since both structure and the absence of the very same is possible.

Or maybe the ensemble simply lacks the discipline it takes to compose music...

Yesterday,,,
Hello

Yesterday was as strange as unexpected in events. I was on my way to work, I guess. And suddenly, something happened. To my left, in a small alley, stood three wise men. They said something to me, I said "excuse me?". They were not going to. They told me to get on with my life, told me to do something! I am currently studying at the university, which is rather common for "doing something with your life", but now I'm a little unsure - they were wise men, after all!

Before they disappeared as quickly as impossible, the camera managed to take an alright photo of the three wise strangers.

Should they be trusted? Should something else be done with life?
Maybe it's time to record a bit of love and understanding, in sooouuunndssss!

Yours trüly,
d'Andre Friedrikssoon

New album and future
Hi-ay

The new album has now been available for a week or so. Hallelujah!
So, what's next? We have decided to try and establish a live setup. This means that a collection of certain equipment is necessary. This means money. This means time. Until then, nothing will happen. Or perhaps, maybe not?

Almost done!
Hello.

Before the release of our debut album entitled "Certain Aspects of Life", here is little update. The five tracks are now complete and need only a bit of mixing/mastering or whatever you call it. The last work will be carried out in the next couple of days.

Meanwhile, our 'cover artist', Christian Davidsen, has been given the album and has begun creating artwork under the influence of it. The artwork will be five captions of a drawing in process. It resembles some kind of being that evolves from caption to caption. The first stop in the making has been done and can be seen here now. Enjoy.

Now and soon (684214789899974321777)
So, what will happen? FUCK! In time, long or short, there will be an Ego Ensemble debut album released here. The working title is "Certain Aspects of Life" (and it's prababably not going to be changed). Hopefully it will contain five pieces, each displaying all kinds of aspects of life. By now, two/five has been made, one of them available on the "Conjuration"-thing. The aspect of love is going to be represented in the next piece to be made. Current idea. Perhaps.

As a little bonus, the very first recorded track of the ensemble and its concept is now yours for free: It's ours. Possession. There you go. It's yours. Let it serve as a kind reference to the ORIGINAL EGO ENSEMBLE, so that all future releases can be rated as shit compared to this one, the very first shit we made.

Last but not least, aborting rabbit mothers have been seen puking on unidentified flying objects under the eyes of God and rainy, grey clouds.
