New Release - Grand Magnus and the II : Demo #1
A busy week in the drome offers up yet another fresh release. It is a return of the Grand Magnus and the II with 75 minutes of jams signalling the constant expansion of the group. Demo #1 sees them evolving by adding more members while exploring percussive textures. Don't worry though, the hazed air of psychedelic jamming is more dense than ever. So hurry up, download, and let it cloud your sense and work your brain.

New release - Metronomicon
Yes, it is so! I've finally collected a bunch of tracks and wrapped them up in a package, slapped a name on it and attached some artwork. The name of said package is "Metronomicon", and currently it's available for absolutely free, right there to your right.
It's a very pleasant listen, with a lot grander synths than I normally do, and also some much more choreographed tracks. Some are still 75% improvisationambient though. Give it a whirl.

Falling Bough
Playing around with extra bridges on my guitar while in a blissed out spring haze.
This is highly unlikely to end up on any album, since it doesn't sound like the rest of my stuff.
On an unrelated note, I went to a super harsh punk show friday. It was amazing. I had forgotten about that sort of energy. I wish my music was angry like that.

New demo + additional band members!
Hi there (oh yeah, hi there who are you?)
Here's a little update concerning the band. A little while ago we bought some percussion and invited three friends out for jam. One of them had a saxophone too. We've now ended up with four jam songs lasting approximately 70 minutes.
First jam, a long 40min introduction to this new constellation. Second jam, some kind of psych. punk mixture with blues jazz outro. Third jam, a pure percussion jam with flute. Fourth jam, a pure percussion jam with space guitar.
It will appear here on ghostdrome in a short while, and there are plans of making a physical record as well. We're very excited! For now, the third jam is up, so enjoy!

So we're ready to release another gem for your listening and viewing pleasure.
Interruption Songs is the second album from Kontrolorgan. It uses synths, bells, drums, electronics and singing to conjure dronescapes with psychedelic undercurrents, thus building on the outline already present in Kontrolorgan's earlier work. Interruption Songs is, however, a more structured entity than previous releases. Some parts are improvised while others are tightly sequenced. Most lie somewhere in between while exploring themes concerning imagination and the suspension of functional time in artistic rituals. Almost all tracks feature manipulated samples from field recordings originally recorded by Christopher Aaby and Frederik Højlund. Christian Davidsen plays cymbals on 'Mythology Loops'. Rasmus Aaen plays upright bass on 'Mythology Loops' and 'Disappearance Song'.

So. I've decided to release something new. It will be entitled 'Interruption Songs' and is approximately 30 minutes long. Droney, hazey, ceremonial electronics. Bells, vocals, synths and some drums. We welcome a new project into the ever-changing Ghostdrome. It is entitled 'Ultraneutral Orkester'. It is a semi-improvised noise / drone-rock outfit with heavy psychedelic vibes. Behind the name we find Johan Heinsen (Kontrolorgan, Gigavolt) and Rasmus Aaen (Disappearer). Here is a preview:

Hang Time
Imagine a basketball in mid-air. On its way towards the hoop. Now imagine if time slowed down. Not completely dissolved, yet almost completely still. Imagine that basketball, ripe with tension, slowly rotating around its axis. With the prospect of reaching the hoop postponed (out of sight). Imagine this moment (if we can call it that) maintaining itself, folding into itself. Impossibly dynamic.
